Lumosity   http://www.lumosity.com  In an attempt to wean myself from a Tetris(Quinn) addiction, I have followed JoAnn's lead and signed up for this brain training site. The first two weeks are free so I'm cramming to see if I can get it all in before the $10/month kicks in. (Yeah, that's so dumb it shows my need for brain training!) So far, I'm impressed, and I really don't need to get any better at Tetris...     more about Brain Games...

I stumbled on this ezine (About This Particular MacIntosh) yesterday. It is a monthly magazine written by and for users in real English. It has excellent tutorials, articles, reviews, standard computer magazine stuff, but far better written. In a back issue I found a tutorial on Photoshop layers which was wonderfully clear, no jargon.  This issue has a responsive "letters" section, a tutorial on the "merge" command in Photoshop, an article on uses for "Preview" after the Leopard introduction of "Quick Look," four helpful reviews, etc. I've signed up for a (free) subscription. I think the back issues will be a mine of information.
